What is it?
It is also called crib bedding; it is sheets, pillow cases, comforters and crib bumpers used in a crib or toddler bed. It is usually done in a print that is appealing to children. There are many different prints and styles available.
Styles
Usually comes in a style that is childlike and bright. There are a lot of different themes that are used. Some of the themes are gender neutral themes and some are gender specific themes. Ones used for little girls can be very pink and frilly. Ones for little boys is typically blue or done in a cartoon character that is masculine. There is a trend toward a more sophisticated palette of colors and styles. Sometimes the entire décor is built around it. Over the years the styles have changed minimally in traditional kinds, except for the addition of more sophisticated prints that are available now, theme inspired ones has always been a favorite. It is not unusual to walk into a nursery and find the nursery bedding to contain cartoon character favorites or nursery rhyme themed. Some that is theme inspired provides a space for the child that is inviting and fun.
The Cost
The cost varies depending on the materials that are used to produce it and whether there is a designer label attached or not. There is some very reasonably priced ones on the market that is priced fewer than one hundred dollars for the complete set, sheets, comforters, window treatments and other applications for the bed. There are some sets that are just astronomical in price because of the designer label that is attached to them. A set that comes from one of the big name designer can easily cost five hundred dollars.
Shopping
Shopping can be done at any location that sells baby items. There are also linen stores that will have some choices. A good place to also shop is the local discount warehouse store; usually they will have a decent stock. Of course there is always shopping online as an option.
Nursery bedding is a must have and it is a great way to dress up or stylize a room for baby.
